Daybreak, West Jordan, UT

The Daybreak Community of West Jordan, Utah is one of the most attractive and popular residential communities in the entire United States, encompassing over 4,000 acres divided into four separate villages – North Shore Village, Garden Park Village, Eastlake Village and Founder’s Park.

The Daybreak model is designed in the style of a traditional neighborhood that promotes a sense of community with more exposure to the natural beauty of the local area, while reducing the need for automobile transportation to access necessary amenities.

Still under expansion, the completed community is expected to contain over 20,000 residential structures with an additional 9 million square feet of space designated for commercial purposes by 2020 to 2022.

What makes Daybreak unique from other neighborhoods is in part due to the proximity of every home to the community lake, a neighborhood park, and a restaurant or retail establishment. Here is a brief look at some of what Daybreak has to offer perspective residents:

Oquirrh Lake

This fabricated lake has a surface area of 67 acres and a perimeter of 3.4 miles, making it a great and peaceful location to take an evening stroll or enjoy a day on the water in a family setting. Fishing is allowed for residents and bluegill, trout, catfish and bass are plentiful fishing either from the shoreline or in a non-motorized boat.

Best of all is that residents over the age of 14 have free access and use of sailboats, rowboats and kayaks at no cost.

Schools

The daybreak community offers two outstanding elementary schools, Eastlake and Daybreak as well as a k-9 public charter school Early Light Academy. For the most recently reported statistical school year all three have performed above the national average in providing superior education.

Shopping

SoDa Row is a Daybreak retail area featuring everything from restaurants to retail shops and more. Just outside of the Daybreak property is a shopping area with over 1 million square feet of shops known as “The District” – part of which is a state-of-the art Megaplex Theatre.

Public Transportation

As well as being located near several major highways Daybreak residents have easy access to a light rail system that travels to Salt Lake City, the Salt Lake City International Airport and educational activities provided at the University of Utah. Within the Daybreak community there are also over 22 miles of trails for travel by either bike or on foot.
