Schools

Taylorsville has a wonderful educational program within the Granite School District. There are twelve preschools, five elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools. Taylorsville High School has a top rated baseball team that has been state champs seven times within the last eleven years.

Along with the nine public schools, residents can also select one of the nine private schools or the charter school for their students. Those graduates who want to further their education can go on to attend classes at the nearby Salt Lake Community College.

Things to Do

There are many attractions in the Taylorsville area. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail offers one the opportunity to enjoy a scenic overlook of Salt Lake Valley. Other outdoor activities can be found at Seven Peaks. This is one of Utah largest water parks with 16 water slides, a pipe tube ride, drop slides, and a lazy river.

The Hollywood Connection is fun for the whole family. Along with rides, they have miniature golf, skating, and an arcade. If you’re looking for something a little more unique, try Scales and Tails. Here one can experience a variety of bird and reptile shows that will shock and thrill the audience.

Parks

Taylorsville is home to numerous golf courses, a skate park, a baseball park, and a public swimming pool. In addition, there are many smaller community parks scattered around the city. There is even a dog park designed with your furriest family member in mind.

Valley Regional Park is a favorite of many Taylorsville residents. The basketball court, outdoor track, disk golf, and four softball fields provide both exercise and fun. Guests can go swimming in the pool or enjoy a picnic in the pavilion. Children love the playground, while the older ones enjoy the sand volleyball court.

Shopping

Taylorsville places one in the midst of several great shopping areas. Along with their own shops, Salt Lake City is nearby with a large selection of boutiques, name brand outlets, and retail chains.

City Creek Center is an upscale outdoor shopping village that includes a beautiful fountain and fabricated creek. Foothill Village is a shopping center consisting of 30 unique shops, salons, and spas. It’s also a great place to find a good selection of restaurants.
